Tim Gilchrist PMP® is a marketing and technology expert who has spent much of his career in the Internet space. Starting with Value Health in the early 90's, Tim was responsible for marketing & communications of the consulting and software development divisions of the company. He played a key role in the company’s growth from startup to IPO and final size of over 17,000 employees. Tim also took on sales, operational and software design responsibilities as the company grew.

In 1997 Value Health was sold and Tim became Webmaster for Aetna where he sheparded their movement into ecommerce. During his time at Aetna, Web activity went from a few visitors per month to over 2 million, carrying out transactions from physician research to 401k transactions. Tim was part of the original team who developed www.intellihealth.com, one of the first health information portals. His work on Aetna's employee intranet was also featured in the landmark book "The Cluetrain Manifesto."

In 2000 Tim went on to CIGNA Healthcare to run their Web operations with the primary task of upgrading CIGNA's ecommerce functionalities. While at CIGNA, Tim was instrumental in unifying the look and feel of CIGNA's entire web presence. He also embarked on a mission to enhance the image of managed care through mini documentaries on how nurse case managers had improved the lives of their patients. The series of videos won numerous awards and is now a fixture in the orientation programs of CIGNA's customers.

While not at work Tim is a frequent lecturer on the media and technology at Columbia University and The University of Hartford. He is an active member of The Connecticut Art Directors Club, Marketing Executive Network Group, and co-founder of The Climb Against Cancer, a fundraising arm of The Dana Faber Cancer Institute. He has published three books on the science of Ergonomics and is a contributing author to Fine Wood Working Magazine.
