Executive Roundtable

Our Marquis Service – The Virtual Executive Roundtable

Leverage the Know-How of Multiple Executives

  • We frame your need into a succinct brief. You modify it as you see fit and approve it. Then we post it to our networks, and include how many qualified executives you are looking for.
  • We vet all respondents and identify those whom we believe fit your needs and will add the value you want.
  • We provide a summary profile of each executive we recommend for your Roundtable
  • You review and approve the members you want.
  • We then work with you to develop a full briefing of your issue or opportunity for the Roundtable Members to review.
  • We send each Roundtable member this briefing and establish the criteria and timing for feedback.
  • You will receive a written brief of 1 to 2 pages (or more) with supporting information as applicable.
  • You may also have a conference call to gather further information and perspectives.

Get as Much Help as You Need

In addition, you can choose to access further expertise from one or more Roundtable Members. This may include an expanded analysis and report, an additional teleconference or – as practicable – in-person consultation. We quote these additional services.
It’s Cost Effective! (you just can’t beat it!)

It’s Cost Effective! (you just can’t beat it!)

Your cost for the Virtual Executive Roundtable of four executives is just $3,950. We recommend four execitives for both breadth and depth of perspecive.  A one-hour call with an individual expert is just  $1,000, which includes preparation.

This is an exceptional opportunity to access high-value information from experienced “been there, done that” executives for a cost that will not even cover a typical one-hour, in-person meeting with traditional consults .In addition, you can choose to access further expertise from one or more Roundtable Members. This may include an expanded analysis and report, an additional teleconference or – as practicable – in-person consultation. We quote these additional services.

You simply get the expertise you need – quickly, effectively, and at reasonable cost. You pay for the solutions – not superfluous consulting. Through Microengagement™, you can also make key contacts for future opportunities.

  • How We Work  ( 1 items )

How We Work (it’s very straight forward!)

First Contact Us for an Assessment

    • Simply contact us – by telephone or email – and outline your business needs.
    • All communications are strictly confidential.  We execute NDAs that specify what information we can use as we contact our networks.
    • We leverage a simple three-step framework to distill your issues into the points that really matter then post to our networks.  This is our “AIM” model.  The vast majority of business needs fall into three main areas: Assessment of problems (A), Innovation for solutions (I), and Making the solutions happen (M).   AIM – simple and effective!
    • Our initial assessment is free of charge. If we feel we cannot leverage our networks to meet your needs, you pay nothing!

Then We Contact Our Networks and Get You What You Need

    • Next, we post a cloaked request to one or more networks that appropriately captures your situation and describes your needs.
    • We receive responses, screen them and make contacts on your behalf to gather further credentials.
    • We rigorously screen and vet these executives, and then provide you with a summary profile of each executive we recommend (name and contact information is cloaked).
    • You select the executives you wish to tap, and choose how you want to use their services.
    • We then quote the fee and execute Microengagement® contracts among the parties (confidentiality, services to be provided, fees and indemnification).
    • You pay one-half in advance, with balance on completion.  We then provide you the contact information.
    • We can also act as an intermediary at your request and provide additional services, such as compiling and synthesizing information and offering our recommendations.
    • You pay for a successful Microengagement®.  If you are not completely satisfied, you will receive a partial or full refund, depending on the situation.

What It Costs (it’s a tremendous deal!)

We have a minimum fee for up to a one-hour conference call.  Beyond that, Microengagements are specifically quoted.  Fees include initial discussions to analyze your needs (through our AIM model), develop an effective summary to post to our networks, screen and vet responses, act as an intermediary (as needed), and deliver the recommended contacts.

A Microengagement® can consist of an expert conference call, a written brief, remote consultation and even some on-site work.  These typically cost under $10,000.  A single meeting with 3 or 4 traditional consultants can cost over $5,000 alone not including travel expenses.

You pay us for our services and we in turn compensate the expert resources you use.
That’s all there is to it.  Simple, effective and economical.  What more can you ask for?

  • The AIM Model  ( 1 items )

Our Exclusive – The “AIM” Framework

    AIM Model

We use AIM to develop the business brief we post to our executive networks and guide the selection of expert resources to meet your business needs. This model is extremely simple yet very effective for framing your key issues. For example, you may need services in just one area or in all three – the framework boils down your needs into the areas that matter.

A = Assess Needs – The first step. We develop a full understanding of your current business situation, identify the critical issues or opportunities, and determine the key needs to address these. These may include reviewing relevant data on the industry, market, competitors, organization, staffing, products, and services, among other areas. The critical outcome is that we take the information you provide and generate genuine “business insight” on which we can act.

    I = Innovate / Solve
    – The second step. We generate the “big idea” that can either solve your issue or capitalize on the business opportunity. Innovation incorporates “solutions” and also provides added value that did not exist prior to the assignment. Innovation requires thinking at a strategic level and providing creative ideas that advance your business value and/or capabilities. Innovation creates new knowledge capital.

    M = Make Happen
    – The final step. We identify and/or provide the means to implement the big idea, and turn it into specific actions that can generate the desired outcome. Making it happen can involve action plans, resource requirements, and execution activities, among other elements. The objective is to ensure actual implementation that can be tangibly measured. We recognize no solution is of value that cannot be actualized.

    A Deeper Look

AIM contains critical areas that are typically the lynch pins that you really hire consultants for:

    • Intelligence – what are your business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats in the marketplace? What problems should you respond to and / or opportunities capitalize on?
    • Insight – what is the right interpretation of this intelligence / information, and what should you do about it?
    • Strategy – how does this insight affect your business strategy? Is it compatible, or is a change in business direction required?
    • Ideation – what are the big ideas/opportunities to bring the strategy to life? How best can you innovate, solve, and capitalize on these?
    • Creation – what are the specific products, services and/or solutions to develop? Which innovative designs?  How will consumers and/or B2B customers react?  Will it serve their needs, solve your problems, and/or capitalize on key opportunities?
    • Resources – do you have the people, knowledge and/or other business capabilities to make solutions and/or opportunities happen?
    • Measures – what are the critical business indicators that tell you have been successful?
